AMY

I spoke with my sister today and she tells me that Amy is making remarkable progress toward renewed health. Thank you God! And thank all of you who prayed for her recovery.

She has been home from the hospital one week now and for the first time in a very long time she is breathing without any outside help from oxygen! She even took a walk down the road to the mailbox cluster to retrieve her mail. I am amazed at the spunk this young woman has. I know first hand what it's like to be split down the middle, so to speak, and have your heart worked on. I know the pain she has and is going through and I know that she still has CF and still has a long arduous journey in front of her. But I also know that with God's help and the great attitude and strength of her faith she can make that journey as fun-filled and enjoyable as her health will allow.

I hope and pray for a lifetime of good things for her, her husband and her daughter. I pray that God will bless them with many more years to share their lives together.
