The game is over........

and we both have won. Exactly the way I wanted it to turn out! We both have a better understanding of where the other one was coming from. Now, on to other things!

Hub has been working a lot of overtime......A LOT! He is even working his second shift tonight. He will get out earlier than usual, but he will get about 8 hours in. I worry about his health. As most of you know, he had a major heart attack a couple years ago. It happened in a remote area of the Upper Peninsula and took him over 8 hours to get to a hospital. The doctors say most people don't survive this kind even with getting quick medical attention. GOD was watching over him and keeping him alive and safe. There is no other explanation! I am sure I would not have been able to survive the death of another spouse! Any way, the point of all of this is, that while the extra money is nice, it would never be able to replace him should he over do and not take the time to relax and enjoy life a little more. So that is my prayer..........that things will slow down for him and maybe, just maybe, he will catch a little of the Christmas spirit, thus refreshing mine!

(((((Martie))))) So glad that you are talking again. I hope his overtime does not last too long, so that you two can enjoy the holidays together.

Warm hugs!

It is nice to have the extra money, especially around this time of year. Who doesn't need it? But time spent together is more important than that and I hope that you get that time too without all the bickering of course. Wish we could spend some time with ya too. Love ya.

My husband's new job is going to require him to work most weekends even through the holidays. He hasn't had a heart attack but I know how you feel not having him around as much as you'd like during this time.

Praying for you guys that the overtime doesn't last long so that you can enjoy the holidays together as a family!!

Love ya Martie! :)

Glad to hear y'all worked it out, Martie. I know how it is to not have your husband around enough. It definitely can cause a lot of tension. Here's to less work and more play!

Great to hear it worked out for both of you. I hate when someone has to lose, epically in martial games, it's never a good thing when that happens.

Burrr it's cold here this morning.

Love you both!

Wow, he better watch how much work he puts in!!! Old memories come back fast and hard when we least expect them too! I know with the holidays I have been working lots of O.T., but even I know my limits now. If I am not careful, I will get really sick. tell that man to take a break!!!! Besides, you need him for like another 70 years or so....right!!!

Hugs!!!! xoxo

I'm glad everything has worked out. It's not fun when spouses are at an impasse.

I know the feeling of working too much. It puts a damper on the holiday spirit, for sure. Make a date together then get outta Dodge for some much needed R&R!

I agree with Lori. You should get away for some r and r. And you know you are always welcome here. You can even stay with me. Love ya.
