They sound like what we call "slab ants" - they seem to favor homes that are on slabs.

I'll remember to always WAIT to be offered a snack when I'm there. ;)clewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11160166319971765227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16370859.post-16914597510662984302008-01-02T09:45:00.001-05:002008-01-02T09:45:00.001-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02538267625466244952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16370859.post-90790511043674135192008-01-02T09:45:00.000-05:002008-01-02T09:45:00.000-05:00Hope the nervy little things got the message this ...Hope the nervy little things got the message this morning. I have tangled with them a few times, and it is not pleasant. Right now we have almost microscopic little ants that must come in through the tiniest of cracks. They will go straight for the cat food, but are easily exterminated with one shot of spray. Love your blog!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16370859.post-5778126433643645562007-12-31T23:23:00.000-05:002007-12-31T23:23:00.000-05:00ewww!!! I at one time thought I wanted to live in FL but realized that there were too many things that could bite me there. LOL FL even has spiders that jump and attack you.

It is odd to have ants at this time of the year. In my new apartment, I keep seeing medium sized black spiders. They are in the same area. I have concluded they are entering from the front door. They usually die from me stomping them in the living room. Irony...they die in the living room. Anyway, I think that I'll put some weather stripping on the bottom portion of my front door. I can see light poking through on one spot and have concluded that is where the spiders are entering.

I could be wrong, of course.

Darn those piss ants!

HugsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16370859.post-77460321799529640882007-12-31T11:16:00.000-05:002007-12-31T11:16:00.000-05:00Just like that damn spider I had in my shoe!!!
